We have an experienced team handling lettings, disposals and acquisitions throughout the UK in both Shopping Centre and High Street locations. We work closely with our clients analysing the branch contributions within their existing portfolio, which allied to demographic information, enables us to target suitable towns for expansion.


We act for both landlord’s and tenant’s and we conclude in the order of 100 negotiations during a typical year. We use our knowledge of rental trends, retail requirements and forthcoming developments to negotiate the most favourable deals for our clients.


We advise on the sale and purchase of retail properties for investment purposes including individual buildings, retail parades and shopping centres. Our knowledge of the retail sector in particular enables us to identify towns with solid fundamentals in terms of catchment, compentition, demorgraphics and quality and flexibility of the asset itself, all of which affect value and sustainability, ensuring investment returns and performnce for our clients are maximised. We are also able to obtain advanced notice of schemes which might undermine properties in our clients existing portfolios enabling us to initiate a sales strategy or other measures before the information is known to the general market.


We specialise in advising on small and medium size mixed use developments typically in or on the periphery of town centres which will usually comprise a significant residential element over commercial space. Through our in depth knowledge of occupier requirements, we focus on locations where we have identified specific requirements for commercial space which can include retail, leisure or service based occupiers and where residential values are robust. This enables the development risk to be minimised and development returns maximised. Typical development work includes the acquisition of in town or edge of town retail or mixed use sites often based around a food user for refurbishment/redevelopment followed by letting and subsequent sale of the investment.


We work with landlords providing advice on how to structure or restructure assets to maximise investment returns and value and undertke negotiations involving the relocation of existing tenants and reconfiguring space to suit requirements, extending lease terms, reversionary leases and removal of break options.
